Nice pair! Great example of base wide and base narrow

Whenever the horse was not working immediately rugs of some description were used, every time.

Pair pulling sleigh, all horses in village were either Hutzel or Lipizaner. Horse used for regular stable duties, no bridle, just voice commands! Non stop getting in hay

Non stop getting hay into village from haystacks made in the pastures- NB this is hand cut hay, no tractors, just scythes and pitch forks! Everyone uses sleighs for everything! Typical use of horse in winter, getting in the hay. This is view you get when you are picked up from the village railway station at 1.30am in a two horse sleigh. Horses stalled at night, kept together keeps them very warm.
