Jeff Newnham Farriery Services is based in Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex with the majority of their work within a 40-mile radius, (well a semi circle really as they're on the coast!) From time to time they can be tempted (usually by money, but not always: see "Romanian Project") to travel further to clients in Holland, Belgium, Germany.
The horses they attend range from Family pets - predominately Donkeys & Shetlands! To regular riding Horses & Ponies, to Event/Dressage/Jumpers to Quarter Horses and Work Horses. They are not attached to any Veterinary Practice, but liaise very closely with all their clients' chosen Veterinary Surgeons. Assisted greatly by Digital Cameras, detailed communication is now even easier.

Born in Meknes, Morocco, his father was a farrier in the largest
Government Stud in Morocco. Zouhair worked with horses from an early age and
was always interested in his father’s work. In the 1990's the ILPH
(represented by Dr Tina McGregor) and The World Farriers Association
(represented by its president Walt Taylor) started a program called Working
Together For Equines. His father was one of 5 chosen qualified farriers from
Morocco.
In this program the 5 farriers in co-operation with SPANA and The National
Stables of Morocco started training farriers. By then he was accompanying
his father (whenever he could and throughout school holidays) on his daily
trips educating equine owners and traditional farriers. He enjoyed farriery
and decided to pursue a career in this field. His first work was helping
equines and animals in general in the SPANA centre in Meknes. It was there
he met American farrier Walt Taylor who encouraged Zouhair to train in
Farriery. In 2004 he successfully passed the Training Course for Farriers
organised by SPANA and the National Stables. He then worked in Casablanca
(the centre of horses in Morocco) with one of Morocco’s leading farriers.
During this time he continued to help the SPANA centre and their farrier in
Casablanca. In 2006, Zouhair was offered the opportunity to work in Turkey
to shoe exclusively for a show jumping centre. In 2007 he came to England
and has bought with him a wealth of horse as well as farriery knowledge.
For it must be remembered that no man as yet has done his work too well - Holmes

with a view to specialising in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Prior to commencing
her Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy, in May 2007,at The Royal Veterinary

offered Danielle an Internship specialising in Barefoot Trimming. Danielle
